The Natas Fair 29.02.08

Yes!! We're going to Japan! haha. It's going to be hard work planning the trip but it is going to be so worth it. We bought the air tickets at 795 per person. Will be flying to Fukuoka first via Thailand, return from Osaka. It's going to be an eleven day trip. And I can't wait for it!

A Seoul Garden Affair 03.03.08

La Kuku Veggies. From left: Sawee, Minny, Sooey, Partner (Joee) and Heidi (me).
Our clique outing is once again one veggie short. We really should kick her out given the uncountable times she pang sei us for her petite cobain. Sooey picked Seoul Garden for dinner and it gave me diarrhoea the day after. haha. It was expected. I guess sawee will be hit the worst since she swallowed the most cockles and shells. All the best, weewee!

A 3 second self timed shot. 5 nineteen year olds squashed into a corner with Cartier as the backdrop. Poorly taken but at least we had fun. My camera almost fell off the stand and died.

People, please come claim your pictures.

Pure Hanging Out.

Hanging out time for minny, sawee and I. As usual, minny and i were late. Sawee, on the other hand, turned up freakishly early, like half an hour before the actual meeting time. So we ate cheaply for lunch since most of us are broke. (I suspect the cold storage bento gave my diarrhoea after wards. Arghh!) Then we travel all the way to our favourite hang-out place: Kinokuniya!! We are very boring people who are addicted to books. Yeah. Got my ear pierced after we ate second lunch. haha. That's about it.

My Cooking Experience with Aileen.

February 26, 2008. We are very happy people.

Aileen and I, we have very different notions of posing for the camera. She prefers grossing people out by showing off her mouth cavity plus many other inexplicables. haha.

VS

Our better than most restaurants dinner. And we made them ourselves!! All except the chilli crab. haha. I'm not that good yet.

Grilled beef............................... Cold tofu with dressing

Japanese pickle

Rice with natto furikake...................................... Chilli Crab

Aileen, my ice-cream assistant

Well, we were supposed to wake up before the break of dawn to have our breakfast while watching sun-rise. But Heidi is a lazy pig who loves sleeping more than anything else so we have to settle for something less exciting like eating in front of the screen. Sorry Aileen mama.

Breakfast with Grey's Anatomy. Totally decadent. Onion bread french toast with pan-fried bacon, topped with tomato salsa. Jamie Oliver would definitely approve of this.

The Last Hokkaido

Yay. This will my my last post on the Hokkaido trip. Finally.

Day 6

At the Hakodate Morning Market. From left Gene, My mum and me! We're waiting for our ramen to come.
And we had the one in the centre. It's more than good. I give it three and a half stars.
Then the Hakodate Airport to travel to Tokyo for one night.
Ah.. on the plane, there this little baby girl who couldn't stop bawling. I had to take a picture of her. haha.
Tokyo, Asakusa Kanon Temple.

Getting your fortune told. I got mine! It's ji. Which means good la.
Ueno. Shopping Heaven.

But instead of shopping, we choose to pig put. haha. Yeah!

Our first dinner. Second dinner was chinese fare.

Hello Singapore at 17.15 day 7.

My still continuing hokkaido trip.

Ahh, my tagboard is finally up, courtesy of minny's helpful suggestions. Yes, and sawee stole my blogskin so I've decided to change mine. Shame on you, sawee.

My Hokkaido cataloguing is getting draggy. Blogging is hard getting used to. It's not in my nature to record my experiences. Owell.

Hokkaido, day 5.

My mum and I in full snow-mobile glory. Actually, she had more glory since she rode the snow-mobile all by herself. I, the ninny little coward, had one of my mum's employee to fetch me on a two-rider. haha.

After a morning of snow-mobile, everyone is too tired to complain about the food. Well, the food is decent enough but i thought since we're at Hokkaido, the capital of seafood, we should get better stuff, you know what i mean.

Next, we went to this bear ranch where bears actually learn all by themselves to beg for food on two legs. It's so ridiculous that it is sad to see what these proud animals are reduced to.

I am not kidding. Take a look.
Welcome to the bear ranch people. After which, we travelled to Hakodate to rest for the night in Shikabe Royal Hotel. It's good with a reasonable onsen. Big outdoor kind. Food is pleasant, the best in all of the other hotels i've stayed in. Goodnight.
