Osaka day 11

Day 11 is considered our last day in Japan since we have to leave early next morning for our flight is at 11pm. So what does one do during the last day of his/her vacation?? We try the untried.

Day 11
Early morning, after breakfast at Macdonalds', we made our way to Kaiyukan, 海游馆, the second largest aquarium in the world. There's a very pretty ferris wheel nearby which Yan was very keen on but we didn't ride it. Introducing: Kaiyukan!
Introducing: the way to Kaiyukan!
At the entrance of Kaiyukan.

The Kaiyukan is located by the habour, hence we got some spetacular view of the sea and its many inhabitants.

Approximately 2000yen per person. I forgot the exact charge.
The moment we entered, we saw this jesus looking stingray. haha.
After the underwater tunnel walk, we proceed to observe sea otters play. These little buggers are really cute and cuddley. They remind me of Vicky.
Lo and behold, angelic birdies. They are real, by the way.
Then we saw various jelly fishes. Pink, red, orange, white, translucent, you name it. We even saw the fairie fishes. i didn't expect them to be so microscopic that even my powerful camera couldn't capture them.
The ferries wheel again.
Lugging our now very heavy luggage, we attempt to look for our capsule hotel in Amerika Mura, 美国村. Hence, exiting from Shinsaibashi station, we came to this very western looking, beautiful street which generally cater to high end shopping.
At long last we found the capsule, after enlisting the help of a taxi driver. You know, Osaka's taxi drivers are all equiped with GPRS which is super useful and convenient. Why don't Singapore taxis come with it too? After all, the prices are inflating like nobody's business.
Today's dinner: Shabu Shabu!! Yan's grinding the sesame seeds to powder.
A side salad to the wagyu beef steak.
Accompanying dips for the shabu shabu. On your left, you have a sesame-peanut dip, and on your right, there's the vinegared shoyu.
Another set of dips for the grilled wagyu.
Vegetables for the hotpot.
Wobbly toufu.
"A" grade thinly sliced beef.
Grilled wagyu beef steak.
The hotpot. After finishing the meat, we were then served udon noodles, in which we were completely taken by surprise because we didn't know it was included in the shabu shabu set. We ended up extremely bloated and satisfied.
After dinner, we bathed at the public bath inside the hotel, which is quite comfortable. Then we settled on reading the books provided by the lounge. I had prince of tennis manga going, while my cousin read hairstyle magazines. My mum had this sappy shojo manga. haha. Capsule hotel is a must for anyone who comes to Japan. It's a fun experience. Cheap too. 2600 yen per night. The capsules are quite spacious actually, so mildly claustophobic peeps like myself need not worry.

It pretty boring at night because all shops are closed due to the rain. So, we played with the camera.
